The scriptures teach us that prayer is the most important and powerful aspect of the life of every believer. It is as vital to our spiritual life as breathing is to our physical life, we can’t survive without it. What would happen if every believer spent as much time in prayer as they do talking or texting on the telephone, watching television or on the internet? Why not try it? Trade some time on the Internet for more time on the INNERNET. Log Off and Kneel Down.
We invite you to join the Prayer Chain. Whenever our staff receives a request for prayer we send it out on our Prayer Chain. We contact our Prayer Chain through both telephone and the Internet. To become a member of the Prayer Chain you can contact the church office and request that your name be added to the list.
Each Monday morning our office publishes a Chapel Prayer List which provides an updated list of all of the known prayer concerns of the First Baptist Family. A copy of this list is in the prayer chapel for those who wish to drop in for prayer throughout the week. Our Chapel Prayer List is also used by our church staff. As we meet each Monday for our weekly staff meeting we lift up prayers and praises on behalf of our church family. The Chapel Prayer List is now also available via e-mail to all who request it.
Each Monday at noon members of our Prayer Ministry meet in the Prayer Chapel to pray for the needs of our church family.
Sunday Worship Prayer Team Each Sunday Morning at 8 a.m. members of our Prayer Ministry meet in the Prayer Chapel to pray for our Sunday Services.

The
women of First Baptist Church have many ministries
designed to minister to both women in the church as well
as outside the church. Women’s ministries in a
congregation provide a rich opportunity for women to be
partners with God in building a faith community with
strong interpersonal relationships, a commitment to
nurturing the discipleship of God’s people, and a
dedication to reaching beyond the church doors in
outreach and invitation
